1. SUSTAINABLE WELLBEING IN 2022

With the continuing uncertainty about the pandemic and what this year will bring, it is helpful to build a solid foundation of habits and behaviours that are known to boost wellbeing. Focusing on things you can control will help you manage any feelings of anxiety and fear about the future. While it is easy to get side-tracked by the latest shiny new ideas about boosting your health, science shows that there are a number of basic factors that underpin sustainable physical and mental wellbeing.

This evidence-based workshop focuses on seven factors, which if implemented consistently, will make a positive difference to wellbeing and set your team up for a successful year in 2022.

4. WHAT IS MENTAL WELLNESS?

One of the best ways to remove stigma about mental illness is by understanding what it is and what it is not. This workshop focuses on mental health awareness training and teaching the skills to work with, and support, an employee who has, or is caring for someone with a mental illness.

Outcomes:

Examine what it might look like to be unwell mentally vs mental wellness, and how different it looks for everyone. Gives a motivating picture on how powerful breaking the stigma can be for our work environments.

It's human nature to focus on what is wrong rather than what is right. And often our professional training can exacerbate this tendency. This workshop is about rewiring the brain to focus on the good which helps to broaden perspective and overcome rigid thinking.

Focus on boosting positive emotions - what they are, how to boost them, and the benefits of doing this. You will learn loads of simple techniques that can be used every day at work and home.

Staying connected to family, friends and colleagues is critical for thriving in times of uncertainty and change. Feeling isolated, rejected or lonely can be very detrimental to long-term health and wellbeing. To thrive, you need to proactively maintain relationships, even when working remotely.

This workshop focuses on four research-based factors, which are shown to help build positive relationships. Along with the science about the positive impact of connection, the workshop provides a toolkit for shaping positive relationships.

This workshop provides participants with a toolkit of practical, well researched techniques that help them stay calm, rise to challenges, bounce back from difficulties and grow from these experiences.

8. MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING FOR WELLBEING CHAMPIONS

This 3 hour workshop is designed to coach members of your team to become workplace Mental Health Champions. Participants will gain an understanding of common mental health issues and signs of mental ill health. Develop skills and the confidence needed to offer basic support to colleagues who may be struggling,  and how to effectively direct them to outside help. 

Outcomes:

Champions will have increased awareness and understanding of how to support and improve mental health in the workplace.

3. RE-WIRING FOR WELLNESS

Creating a workplace where compassion is a dominant cultural trait leads to considerable competitive advantage. This workshop focuses on clearly identifying what compassion is (and is not), the scientific research behind compassion and the role and impact it has on the workplace.

Participants will learn the skills required to take compassionate action. These skills, if applied regularly, will help them deepen connections, support others and communicate more effectively and boost their own and others' wellbeing.

9. MENTAL WELLBEING AT WORK FOR LEADERS

This workshop looks to train managers on how to identify the signs and symptoms of mental distress, and equip them with tools to support psychologically safe work environments where everyone has the best chance at thriving.

Outcomes:

Strengthen people leader skills. Recognise and respond to early signs of suffering or distress in your employees. Leaders will develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to manage employees with mental health issues on an ongoing basis. Learn how to help staff stay well and in work, and understanding a leaders role in rehabilitation: supporting people to return to work.

Just a really solid much needed reminder that work is not EVERYTHING, burning yourself out is not worth it regardless of the reward.
